Who Can Start A MOD Pizza Fundraiser?
To start a MOD fundraiser, you must be a tax-exempt nonprofit organization and be near one of their locations.
You will need to provide the restaurant with your federal tax ID number when you apply.
If your organization is part of a public school and doesn’t have its own number, you can use your school district’s tax ID. Similarly, if your organization is part of a public college or university and doesn’t have its own, you can use their tax ID number.
Examples of eligible groups for MOD Pizza fundraising include:

However, this company is one of the few that makes its fundraising guidelines clear and consistent.
Additionally, there are no third-party options to raise funds with MOD, like RaiseRight or GroupRaise.
Dine To Donate
In a MOD Pizza Dine To Donate fundraiser, you encourage your supporters to eat at the restaurant on a particular day. You can schedule it anytime between Sunday and Thursday
Then, 20% of your supporters’ total purchases are donated back to your organization. This includes both online and in-store orders.
For in-store purchases, patrons must mention the fundraiser or show the event flyer for your organization to get credit.
Meanwhile, for online orders, they can buy their food through the restaurant’s website or mobile app using a unique promo code.
Just bear in mind that the following types of purchases do not count toward your sales total:
- Alcohol
- Gift cards
- Third-party orders (for example, DoorDash, Uber Eats, or GrubHub)
- Orders placed on a different date or store location than your scheduled event
Once your fundraiser is over, MOD will send you a check in about four to six weeks. However, keep in mind that you will need to reach a $150 minimum total sales threshold in order to receive your check.
Finally, if your event is successful and you want to organize another one, you can. Organizations are allowed to schedule one fundraiser every 30 days.
Donation Request
The other type of MOD Pizza fundraising is the donation request. This involves submitting a form to the restaurant and asking them to donate to your charity.
You can put in a request for several different types of donations, including:
- Pizza Coupons
- Food
- MOD Merchandise
- Cash
The application is short and simple. Just select your desired donation type, explain why you need it, and provide your organization info. Then, drop off the request at your local restaurant.
Finally, the general manager of the store will respond to your application, typically within seven days.
