What Is A Krispy Kreme Fundraiser?
A Krispy Kreme fundraiser is a product fundraising idea in which you raise money by selling Krispy Kreme products. The items you can sell include:
- Donuts by the dozen
- Dozen donuts certificates
- BOGO (buy one dozen donuts, get one dozen free) certificates
- Coffee
Better yet, you have the option to raise funds through three different methods:
- Digital Dozens
- One-day product sale
- Pre-sell products
We discuss how each one works later on in this post.
Are Krispy Kreme Fundraiser Donuts Smaller?
Krispy Kreme fundraiser donuts are not smaller than their retail donuts.
While Krispy Kreme allows you to buy donuts at a lower-than-retail price to raise funds, the donuts are the same size.
So, there’s no need to worry that your supporters won’t be happy with the size or quality of the donuts.
What Size Is A Krispy Kreme Fundraising Box?
One Krispy Kreme fundraising box includes 12 donuts.
Additionally, the large shipper boxes they use can hold eight dozen donuts. The dimensions of the package are 60cm x 40cm x 25cm.
Who Can Run A Krispy Kreme Fundraiser?
You can run a Krispy Kreme fundraiser whether you’re a non-profit or for-profit organization.
Additionally, they’re good for organizations of any size. The low order minimum of 25 items means even small fundraising teams can raise lots of funds.
However, the cause you’re raising money for must fall into one of the following categories:
- Educational: examples include student clubs, parent groups, athletic,; band/choral, school equipment, student development, scholarships
- Religious: examples include youth groups, missions, benevolent programs, building funds, congregational support
- Charitable: Proceeds will support a registered 501(c) charitable organization
- Community: Proceeds will support community-based projects and not be used for individual or commercial gain
How Does A Krispy Kreme Fundraiser Work?
There are three different types of Krispy Kreme fundraisers:
- Digital Dozens
- In-Shop One-Day Sale
- In-Shop Pre-Sell
We discuss how each type of Krispy Kreme fundraiser works below.
Digital Dozens
The Digital Dozens Krispy Kreme fundraiser is conducted entirely online.
To raise money, you collect donations in exchange for certificates redeemable for a dozen Original Glazed Donuts.
The first step in starting a Digital Dozens fundraiser is creating your Krispy Kreme fundraiser account.
From there, you’ll need to wait for the company to verify that your cause is eligible for fundraising. This usually takes about one to three business days.
Next, you have to set your fundraiser dates. Be aware that the maximum campaign duration is 90 days.
Once you set your dates, you’re ready to promote your Digital Dozens through platforms like social media and email.
Since it’s 100% online, your supporters can be located anywhere across the country!
(However, bear in mind that they’re not redeemable at locations in Puerto Rico and Connecticut.)
Once they donate, your supporters receive an email and can redeem their Digital Dozens at their nearest Krispy Kreme restaurant.
Finally, at the end of the fundraiser, the company sends you a check for the money you raised. This typically takes about four to six weeks after the end date.
In-Shop Products
While Digital Dozens is completely online, Krispy Kreme also offers in-shop fundraisers at their restaurants.
You can choose from two types of in-shop product fundraising: one-day sales or pre-selling.
One-Day Sale
The One-Day Sale is a great option for organizations that want to raise funds quickly.
It allows you to pick up the donuts and other products at Krispy Kreme and sell them at an event.
For example, if you want to raise money for your child’s soccer team, you might purchase a few dozen donuts and sell them at a game. You can also sell other Krispy Kreme products like coffee and donut certificates.
These are especially good products for a weekend morning game.
To organize a one-day sale, you need to:
- Set the date and time for your sale
- Place your order at least 72 hours in advance
- Sell your donuts and raise funds!
Pre-Sell
A One-Day Sale is perfect for raising funds at events. However, pre-selling is better for those who can run their fundraiser over a longer period of time.
The Pre-Sell option also ensures you don’t buy more products than you need, which can improve your profit margin.
Supporters can choose to purchase any of the following products:
- Dozen Donuts
- Buy One Dozen, Get One Free Certificates (redeemable up to ten times)
- Dozen Donuts Certificate
- Ground Coffee
To organize a pre-selling Krispy Kreme fundraiser, you have to:
- Set a time period
- Download the order form to track orders
- Promote your fundraiser
- Submit your completed order form after the end date
- Distribute the products once you receive them
Krispy Kreme Fundraiser Prices
Krispy Kreme fundraising prices can vary a lot depending on your location and the restaurant you work with.
Below, we discuss the Krispy Kreme fundraiser price per dozen donuts. We also explore how much you can expect other products to cost.
Digital Dozens Prices
Digital Dozens each cost $7.50, and you can sell them for any price you want.
However, most fundraisers usually set the price between $9 and $30.
Typically, $15 is a good price, but you may want to adjust it based on your supporters’ abilities to donate.
Just be sure to remember that once you set a price and the campaign starts, you won’t be able to change it. So, give some thought to how much you want to charge.
In-Shop Fundraising Prices
While it appears that Digital Dozens have a flat cost across the board, in-shop product prices vary by location.
For example, at the Krispy Kreme location in Havertown, PA, here’s how the pricing breaks down:
- Dozen Original Glazed Donuts: $7.25
- Dozen Speciality Donuts (Chocolate Iced, Glazed Filled, etc.): $8.25
- BOGO Cards: $13
- Original Glazed Dozen Donuts Certificate: $8
- Coffee (12 oz Bag): $7
Meanwhile, here are the prices at their Staten Island, NY location:
- Dozen Original Glazed Donuts: $8.50
- Dozen Speciality Donuts (Chocolate Iced, Glazed Filled, etc.): $10
- BOGO Cards: $14.50
- Original Glazed Dozen Donuts Certificate: $9
- Coffee (12 oz Bag): $7
As you can see, there’s some variation in pricing based on location.
If you’re running a One-Day Sale Krispy Kreme fundraiser, be sure to check the pricing across locations.
